My wonderful Callie, after 19+ years of taking care of my heart and soul, passed away in her sleep on Sunday night. She had been diagnosed with cancer in May, and held on 2 months longer than we'd thought. But finally it was all too much for her and Bast answered my prayers.

She was a great cat and was with me through good times, bad times, strange men and a changing world.

That cat-sized hole that Lark talked about is now in my heart and my life. With great love comes great pain as well.
