A year (or two) ago, you posted about your marathon run I think it was and the age you did your first one.  After reading it, I thought I should give it a go, so started training.  I fell over in a pot hole, hurt my knee and pinched  a nerve or two.

Finally I've done my first triathlon - off road to boot!  It was raining when I walked into the damn to do my 350m swim, raining really hard when I did my 10k bike ride and drizzling when I did my 4k run - up hill and down dale of course.

I came last I think, but I finished and many didn't due to the difficult conditions.  I'm just very pleased I finished.

Here's a link to a video - I'm not in it, but you can see a bit of what it was like.

And here's some piccies:

Only 5 weeks to the next one - I can't wait!

Hey, Great Job!!!!

Doing a tri is a great accomplishment.  Congrats!!!

I've set myself up for a lot of pain in May.  Doing the Flying Pig half-marathon in Cincinnatti on the 2nd, then have 100 mile bike rides on the 15th and 29th.  There's a total of six of the century rides over the course of the summer and early fall.  I'm hoping to get in at least five of them.  Nice goodies if you get in that many.

Good luck on your next event.  Let me know how it goes!!

In times of difficulty, look in the mirror.

It is likely you will see the cause as well as the solution.
