Sorry about the long absence. This is not the reason I would have chosen to come back and talk to my friends, but here goes:

Shadow shattered his left femur on Sunday afternoon. He now has a titanium rod from his hip to his knee, but he will not be able to put any weight at all on the leg for at least the next twelve weeks.

Any prayers and energy that you can spare would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Well damn!  That's bad news indeed.  But tell him that's what he gets for trying to kick you.  (just kidding)

Of course I'll send him some good healing energy.  Consider a candle lit.

Does this mean since he'll just be sitting around that perhaps he'll start posting over here again?  That would be great.

And what has he heard about having his book published?

I'll try, I've missed the board, but I've got a bunch going on. Of course most of the things I've got going on went on hold right about the time that .45 acp round left the barrel and entered my leg. That's right, negligent discharge and poor muzzle discipline: feel free to tell me how stupid I am. It was weapons malfunction because a 1911 A1 has more safeties than Carter has little pills, and this was a clear cut case of hammer following slide on a brand new weapon, but I damn sure know better than to point the thing at my leg while I'm loading it.

If you are planning a vacation in Florida make sure you don't do anything dangerous and daring in Levy County because that's the last place I'd ever want to have to call an ambulance from again. There's nothing like watching a group of highly trained medical professionals work as a cohesive unit, and this was absolutely nothing like watching a group of highly trained medical professionals work as a cohesive unit. It's a wonder they didn't kill me.

Well, I'll try to be more active on the board, but it's taken me forever to make this post because of all pain meds I'm on. Thanks for the good thoughts.

There's lots of healing energy on its way !

I've broken a leg before but not in quite such a grand fashion! Watch those meds..... but I'm sure you know that anyway. (Some Billberry supliment tablets will help stop any build up in your liver.)

Hope you get well soon.

Hi Brock, I though I'd post this to you.... In England since 1994 (I Think) we cant have guns in the home ...you used to have to hold a license for that anyway, which I have.) Before that I used to belong to a gun club and so used a .45 and a 357 (which put me on my bum).    I have an infinity with a Wather PPK which is a nice comfy one for a woman to hold and I can let 6 go quite acuratly, after that me arm starts to shake.
Not managed to shoot meself in the leg yet but I've come close, its so easy to do that it sounds stupid. I've had a near miss. So don't beat yourself up over it.
Relax, get well and everyone in my house is sending energy. XX

So sorry about the leg, Shadow!  Hope healing is fast, and do take full advantage of what benefits accrue to the injured, get a wee bell to ring for aid and demand the best books and movies!

he he he...I can just imagine Shadow (who I have never seen, but whose web presence is a 'man's man' Shaman) sitting and dinging a wee little bell. Ha! I bet you'll get an eye roll for that, Labrys!

Smiley I hope your pain is in hand, Shadow, and that you are healing fast!
