A Rant .....

Hello everyone,  I'm going to have a rant .....

I was at a candle party last night with some friends and the subject got around to Asylum seekers and Afganistan etc. Now I am not racist but I firmly believe that if people come to this country seeking asylum for fear of retribution in their own country, or simply come here because there is a better standard of living, then they should not try to blow us up, incite racial hatred amongst their own people against us and should generally abide by our laws no matter what religion they are. This I think is fair enough.   

Last night, everyone was so wishy washy with their  opinions, you'd think they feel its the asylum seekers right to take out a few  tube trains on a suicide mission during the morning rush hour.
 I think they are all so worried about how their friends judge them that they wont stand by their beliefs.

I know this is a small village and they haven't lived in London like we have and all they see is what is on the TV which probably feels like its a world away but I get so mad when people don't stand by their views or sit on the fence for fear of what other people think about them.

I have found that most people are sheep and will believe what they are told to by whom-ever is in charge. More so when in small villages than big cities.

Those seeking asylum are rarely the same factions who are blowing up things. Sadly, racial hatred is a learned action and must be taught by adults to their young. The best we as individuals can do is walk our talk and not paint all people of one race or ethnicity with a wide brush.
