As I mentioned on the other forum where we talked, you're going to have a very hard time finding a group that will accept you since you are only 15 years old.  Because of legal issues most groups will not take you until you turn 18.  Some might be willing to take you with a signed permission slip from your parents, but most won't even accept that.  So you might have to settle for working as a solitary until you are 18 and legally no longer a minor.

What you might think about doing for now is perhaps forming a study group with some of your friends who might also be thinking of becoming Wiccan or Pagan.  It won't be a coven, but it will be a chance to be with others who share similar beliefs.  There are listings for other teens in Portland at http://www.witchvox.com/vn/pa/usor_pay.html

As far as shops go, Witchvox has listings for 5 different stores in Portland.  You can find the listings at:  http://www.witchvox.com/vn/sh/usor_sh.html

Smileonsunshine,

Hi!  Have you found Moonshadow on SE 34th and Hawthorne St yet?  They are a fantastic resource to get connected to the Wiccan and Pagan communities here in Portland.  It's upstairs above a cafe in an old house.

Also, since you're in Portland, let me invite you to our next Bal Breton.  This is an all-ages event of village dances from Brittany, the Celtic province of western France.  My band, Mistral, is playing the music and the dances will all be taught.  We always reach out to the pagan community for these dances, so it might be a good way to meet up with people.  Sept. 26th, 7pm, PPAA hall, 618 SE Alder - $7 for you as a student.

Ian is right, dear. And please pardon my own rather hot thread that may likely put ME in the cauldron for a week, LOL...(looks around for Lark, and her infamous death stare, and tapping feet)
But, anyway..I have a close friend up in Portland, who is a Feri Elder, initiated by Victor and Cora themselves, and is the last direct initiate by them before their passing I believe. Anyway, I say this not to brag, after all, I'M not the one, and he's actually very public in the community now, as he has taken up Victor's "Shield" in a sense, and is currently the High Priest of 'a coven' (sorry, won't name names) in the Vicia tradition. If you are interested, while he IS a Feri initiate, and and Elder (my own mentor, as well, of over 25 years ago) he does accept Novices for counseling and such. At the moment, I believe he is now in the initiation phase of his latest acolyte, so I don't think he will be in direct contact with you. However, I could email him, and ask if he knows of any resources in town that he personally would recommend.
Also, he's a publisher, founding his own publishing house with his domestic partner of nearly 20 years, running a very successful pagan publishing company, including some recent books by some rather well known authors, again which I should not mention just yet, as he is VERY private, and modest. That said, if he reads this, it's likely I'll end up getting a 'broom slapping' as he calls it, lol...so I'll just shut my beak now, and throw the witches' burr in your court.
*A 'witches' burr' is those balls that have those 'spikes' all over them, about the size of a golf ball, dark brown, that is the seedpod of most oaks and maples. Not all oaks have acorns, you know.
At least those are what I've always known them to be called, for decades now...some I'm sure may disagree, even if just the semantics of it, which I don't mind, being a Virgo ASC as it is...so I'm a picky, nit picky type anyway, that dots every i, and crosses every t...and will toss and turn all night, if I know I made a typo, and didn't bother to correct it. I've (yes, this is true) even got up in the middle of the night, gone online to some forum I had just left, and corrected a grammaritical error, minor as it was, all because...I'm one of those women with an OCD type personality that checks the locks 3 times, the oven, the fridge, picks up the phone to check for a dial tone, TWICE, lol...well? You never know, some pervert could come in, and I'd need to call 411 to make sure that 911 is stil working properly, then go on to call 911, after asking my uninvited guest if he'd like some tea while he waits for the police to come out and arrest him...
Goddess, I'm really pathetic arent' I?

LMAO...
