Obsidian is quite a good one for protection and grounding, as is snowflake obsidian.   You should be able to get a bracelet made just of Obsidian beads.

Hope this helps

In addition to the Obsidian mentioned above, Hematite, Schorl (Black Tourmaline), Smokey Quartz, and Brown Jasper also make good grounding stones.

All of these stones (including the Obsidian) are relatively inexpensive and readily available.  If one doesn't suit you, try another.

Just be sure to cleanse your stones before putting them to use.  Smiley

I'm very fond of Hematite for grounding.  I generally carry a piece of Hematite for grounding and a piece of Rose Quartz to keep me cheerful.

stones are excellent.  I call their function a touchpoint - they serve to help you change into magical consciousness easier.

you can use your pentacle if you don't want to use a stone.  alternatively you can also use a cup/chalice... this is not a specific tool for grounding but will help especially with meditative exercises.

LOL...rose quartz makes me nigh-onto-berserker!  But fluorite is my calmer/cheerer.  I find most black stones don't like me or stay with me...I have a necklet of beads I was told are jade, but black that have a "sink into the earth in bliss" sensation.  I think they are too heavy to be jade, and have no idea what they are, but I love them dearly!

I find that simply staying in touch with the earth I'm walking on is pretty grounding. I've seldom felt the need to carry a stone around for such a purpose. I figure it's better to stay in touch with the grounding energy of the earth through my feet.

Don't get me wrong; I like crystals and rocks just fine. So much so that I learned wire wrapping in order to work the stones into jewelry in harmony with the energy of the rock rather than force that energy to fit my work through the use of fire and solder. However, I don't feel the need to work with specific stones as a general rule. When I do work I tend to be very minimalist and connect to the energy of the earth through meditation.

I have nothing against those who use such things; I just find that I prefer to work without props, though much of the jewelry I've made over the years is used by the wearers for the properties of of the stones.

Hematite is very grounding: it's iron ore. I love the look it has, and the feel of it in my hands. I enjoy connecting to that energy and accentuating it when turning a piece of tumbled hematite into a pendant, though I don't wear one myself. One of my all time favorite pieces I've made was a hematite pendant that had a natural indentation which created a perfect yin/yang effect. That went to an acupuncturist Jennie went to school with. As far as I know he still wears after all of these years to help stay grounded when working with his patients.

From your posts I get the feeling that you are very interested in stones and crystals; you should consider learning to do wire wrapping. When it's done right, by someone who can truly feel the energy of the stones, it is a perfect way to turn the object into a wearable peace that channels that energy in the best manner.
