Let's get dangerous....

WWW
« on: January 29, 2009, 08:52:13 PM »

Lyon went into the doctor's office this morning for a ninety-minute procedure that turned into a daylong clusterf***.

The endoscopy tore a hole in her esophagus just above the top of the diaphragm.  This resulted in air and fluid escaping into the chest cavity, causing excruciating pain.  We were sent directly to the hospital where after various tests, etc. she was taken into surgery to correct the problem.

She is in ICU, on a breathing apparatus with no less than three tubes coming out of her chest.  She'll likely remain there at least two more days and be in the hospital for a week or so overall.

Please wish her well.

Thanks!

Oh dear Gods!  I am so sorry, Red.  How excruciating for her...and for you!  I will light up the beeswax and be thinking of you as I make candles today.

She (and you and Rabbit) are in our thoughts and prayers. I wish we were closer so that we could do more than just send energy.

Please let us know how things are going.

Well damn!  I am so sorry to hear that.  If there is anything I can do please don't hesitate to ask.  I can even drive up your way if you need me to.  Let her know that I'm thinking of her and that there is a candle lit just for her speedy recovery.

We came home yesterday.

There's going to be a lengthy recuperation, but she's home.

Thank you everybody for the healing energy, candles and kind thoughts. Home is so much better than the hospital.

I had another visit from the home care services nurse. The insurance has authorized 11 visits. I am amazed. I guess I am not as "healthy" as I thought. I figured they'd take the stitches out make sure the holes were healing nicely and punt my butt.

Seems until I can expand my lung capacity to three times what it is now, I am at risk of developing pneumonia. Not good. So, if you still have energy to send, deep breathing energy is what I need. Lots of it.

Thanks, thanks, thanks. Smiley

I'm glad that you feel well enough to be on the computer.  Consider the good energy to be coming your way until you tell us we can stop.
