Dear All,
I fell very ill Xmas Eve with the Norovirus and ended up vomiting blood, therefore I was admitted to hospital at midnight. I don't remember much else except Jon in a panic.I don't even remember much about the paramedics who took me to hospital. I had ripped my stomach lining from being so sick. All is ok now except I'm on a very restricted diet, no spicy food, no fats, no alcohol etc, and lots of tablets for the next 2 months.

BUT what I really need some energy for is some bad news I had.  I went for my PAP Smear, that us girls have to have, and there are abnormal cells so I have to go to hospital again in the New Year, I'm awaiting the date. Obviously, I'm worried sick, so any extra energy anyone can send I'll be very grateful for. Thank you.

Talk about kick a girl when she's down!

I hope you all have  great New Year Celebrations, have a drink for me! a friend of mine is cooking us a meal at lunchtime and we'll relax in the evening.
Blessings

That's rotten. I'm glad that you are feeling better from the rotovirus. Just try not to be too panicky about the pap. Don't give up and talk yourself into a dark place before you actually know what's going on. I had a roommate who has had unusual paps for years, but nothing more. They just keep an eye on her.

You'll be just fine, especially with all of us sending enough energy to get you glowing!

What a miserable way to begin the New Year with medical fears hanging over you!  I will be lighting up the candles on that little tree of ours again to end our season...and I will light all of them for YOU! (P.S. No, not a candle skimping move, lol, I feel that the holiday candles are especially packed with good bright healing energy from soaking up the aura of the family celebration!)

I hope you feel better soon.

Oh Kate! I hate to hear that you had to get that nasty virus but, am glad to know you are recovering well from THAT!!

As far as the other goes, I will definitely keep you close in my thoughts and prayers, and as far as the lighting of candles and sending of energy, I will do all I can!

Please keep us posted! And I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that you have friends and support here....as much as you need so, don't hesitate to ask someone if you need to talk, want advice, or whatever else you may need.

May the Goddess Bless and Keep you in Her care.
Love, Light, and Blessings,

Hello Kate, wow that virus sounds awful! I'm glad your over it now.

About the pap. I don't know if this will help you or not, but about 20 years ago I had to have surgery because of cervical cancer. It was a very simple procedure, and I was out of the hospital the same day. It left some scar tissue behind, but it's never come back. I've been fine ever since.

I know it's very scary, but try not to get too stressed out over it. It's fairly common and seems to be pretty easy to get rid of. Not to mention the medical advances over the last 20 years, you'll probably come out of it even better than I did!

I'll be thinking of you.

Sorry to hear you've been so sick, and I'm glad you're getting over the virus.  I suspect it hit you that hard because you've been so stressed with everything else that's been going on.

I will certainly keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you go in for more tests.  Do be sure and let us know once they have a date set.

((Hugs))

So very sorry to hear that you have been ill. Take care of yourself!

Don't get too worked up about the abnormal Pap until you have more data. Even if they need to do surgery, chances are everything will be just fine. I had to have surgery for cervical dysplasia over 15 years ago, and have not had any problem since.

Thank you everyone!!!

I'm feeling a lot better now I'm over the virus but obviously still worried about the other. Its worse as its Christmas, the hospital clinic is closed so I don't have a date yet and so I'm on tender hooks waiting.
Also, its the not knowing thats getting to me, if I know what the situation is then I can start to deal with it.

Thank you for all your thoughts and energy and I'll keep you up to date.

Have a great New Year.
with love

Looks like I'm late again. Kate I am so sorry to see you have been so ill. I and the children will be lighting candles for you tonight. Don't be so worried about the PAP, an abnormal finding can be due to many things, not always cancer related. The Doctors will probably repeat the PAP to rule out lab error first, then they usually do a colposcopy, which is where they take tissue samples from the cervix for testing. No matter what they find, there are treatments available for just about everything. we will light a candle for this issue as well tonight, and send reiki to you for a complete recovery for all that ails you. Keeping you in our prayers. (((((hugs)))))

Kate luv....I know first hand how that "waiting" and "not knowing" thing is! I refer to it as a charactor flaw in myself....something I wish I didn't have to be bothered with! lol

At any rate, try to relax, try to think positive thoughts, and try to find good energies to surround yourself with.
Though I know how hard the wait is, as many have pointed out here, it may be something as simple as a lab error. And should that be the case, well....that's hardly something to give yourself wrinkles and ulcers for, right?
(insert a bit of a laugh here?) Crazy

Hang in there poppet! *tight hugs*  Good Vibes

Hello All,
Well, 2009 is here and I am thinking positive thoughts, I promise. I have a Docs/ general Practitioner appointment on 8th Jan as I need to get another months supply of stomach tablets, review my very healthy diet and also talk to her about the PAP.
We had a quiet New Year, some friends cooked lunch for us yesterday and two other friends joined us in the evening but I was wiped out by 11pm and in bed.
I took all the Xmas decorations down today so the house is returned to normal without dangly stuff every where.

I hope you all had a great New Year, and wishing you all the best for 2009.

Lots of love
