You might be surprised!  I don't really run into folks even here in the Pac NorWest who are obviously pagan---tho' supposedly we have a lot of pagans.

But I have several friends in Tennessee who are pagan, a couple in Missouri....so we are everywhere.

Welcome Dragon Witch and yes you would be very surprised to find there are more then you thought. I live in SE Pennsylvania (outside of Phila) and there are more then I thought.  I recently found out a neighbor at the other end of my street is pagan.  We talk from time to time and he's great at helping me out when I don't know much about something.  I also recently found out there's a coven in the area.  Not interested but I would have never thought there was so that was a surprise.

Welcome! I love dragons, and I love witches!!

Have you checked out witchvox for your area? That's how I got in touch with a bunch of pagans in my area. (Grand Forks ND--there are at least 2 dozen around here! Who'du'thunk?)

Welcome to Branwen's.

Try going to http://isisfoundation.com. They're not huge but they have classes and two gatherings a year.

I'll be a guest speaker at their next one, on Memorial Day Weekend.

Thanks guys

I am on witchvox, and have tried to get to isis's witchhaven in the past. Part of the problem is we live far apart from each other. There are a couple of nice goups around, but there a hours drive.

An hour?  I can tell I am in crowded-ville, lol...damn near everything is an hour from me.

Almost 20 years ago, when still trying to be Catholic, I drove almost an hour every Sunday to my chosen parish.  An hour once a month for esbat would have been a real break!

An hour isn't all that far if it is really important to you to connect with a group.  We've gotten used to having groups in every town but it didn't used to be that way.  The first coven that I worked and trained with was a 3-hour roundtrip to get to for rituals twice a month, and then additional days for classes.  Now I'm training with a BTW group which is 3.5 hours away from me one way.

The question to ask yourself is how important is it to you to work with a group, and is one of these groups you say are "nice" one in which you'd really like to work.  If the answer is yes then finding a way to make the drive becomes much more feasible.
