Dear All,   You know how much I love my Monster in law well, she's just endeared herself to me even more.

I noticed a few weeks ago that her greyhound had a growth under her female bits, and suggested she take her to the vet.
She said she can't afford it so I offered to pay, though I can't really afford it .... no matter.... I saw my M-I-L today and asked how the dog got on at the vets.... she hasn't had the time to take her, though she has time to have her nails done, hair salon etc.

The growth is even bigger, the dog is having trouble walking and she is loosing weight and may well be in pain, though they can't tell us, can they.

I'm seriously considering the RSPCA as I her neighbour has already tried to take her to the vet herself yesterday and M-I-L verbally threatened her.

Oh well, here goes.... a little energy for the Grey Hound would be greatfully received.
Thank you.
Blessings
Kate. xxxx

Poor Baby!
I can't stand to see an animal suffer!   Cry 2
It just isn't fair. Here's to hoping the M-I-L
doesn't break a nail anytime soon so that perhaps
she can take her in to see a vet! Has she had pups before?
Could be mastitis. I will keep her in my prayers!

Good Luck!

I'm going to make another guess that it might be a mammary tumor.  In which case the sooner it is removed the better.  It may or may not be malignant but it left alone then often become malignant.  That would certainly fit with the rest of her symptoms.

Or it may be a mastitis which can eventually make the dog septic.

In either case the dog needs to see a vet right NOW.  She is obviously suffering from this and that's simply unacceptable.  If you don't think your MIL would let you take her to the vet I would call the RSPCA.

I'm with Lark. Call the RSPCA.  The poor creature deserves some help.

Talk to your husband, perhaps he will be able to talk her into taking the dog to the vet since it's his Mother,or allow him to take the dog to the vet. If that doesn't work I would definately call spca. that poor dog shouldn't be forced to suffer due to her selfishness.
