Dear All,   I hope you are all happy and well.

All in all I had a wonderful time but there were some bad bits too. A word of advice... Dont ever go on holiday with a couple who don't have kids (no matter what you tell them about the babies waking up at 5am, they will never believe you till they experience it.) Don't ever attempt to un block a toilet when the issue isn't yours to deal with (only I had to do it as I needed to go, not even a thanks was given) and don't whatever you do be so anal about the kitchen (like I am) that you end up cooking breakfast and dinner for 7 people with little help.  I must admit, Jon did offer but seeing as he works his backside off all year for me and the kids .... I don't expect him to help out on holiday. And dont even mention the washing up and cleaning!

However.... they left early and Jon, Ryan, Liam and Millie had a wonderful time. Cornwall is still as I remember, a beautiful, wild part of England. The people were friendly, the food tasty and the weather was really very good. Boscastle has come through the flood of 2005 and the Museum full of many interesting artifacts and excellent exhibits.  I obviously had to treat myself in the Rocky Road shop and the other two Occult shops in the village. I bought a pentagram ring which is quite unsual, the pentagram wound into a celtic band, and a pentagram pendant. I stocked up on black candles, purchased a crystal wand, a new book for my book of shadows and a stunning piece of tree branch formed into a candle holder. I did stop at the sword that I saw on display in Tintagel. After I'd bought gifts for family and friends I'd blown me budget.
The cottage we stayed in was well kept but very cold at night (16th century cottages tend to be) it was fun making a real fire in the fire place though,   the local pub more than compensated for the cold evenings, The tree Inn in Stratton. So if anyone ever gets to come to Cornwall, this pub is a must, the restaurant food is extremely good.

All of this more than made up for the so called friends we went with, though I'm still sore at paying for all the food too which they happily ate,(over £100 so about $175) They were going to take us out for a meal on the last night but got out of that by going home two days early. As my Mum said "Nowt so strange as folk".

Bless'd Be
Kate. xx
