As some of you know, I have been Tattooing and piercing for a good few years now. I have been off on Maternity leave since having Millie then Liam.

A new beauty salon has opened in our village and I popped in today to ask about a back massage (as my back is hell) anyway, to cut a long story short, I've got to go and see them next week as they are interested in me using one of their treatment rooms, one day a week to do body piercing .... yippee! I might be back in the land of working! so I wont have to rely on Jon to provide for me (which he does brilliantly)

So there is something to be said about being a walking advert for my trade.
And sometimes, when you're not especially looking for it, an opportunity comes along.

Unfortunately, the parish council will never allow a Tattoo Studio to open in their idylic little village, according to them it would tarnish the reputation, of course. However, they'll allow a kentucky Fried Chicken, Subway sandwich bar, several pubs and turn a blind eye to a brothel which is above a shop in the high street.

Anyway, could you all keep your fingers crossed for me and I'll keep you up to date on progress.

Best wishes

Perhaps you could present the village with some scholarly information on the history of tattoos as religious, cultural, and ethnic (tribal) symbols. They wouldn't want to be percieved as restricting people's religious freedoms or descriminating on the basis of ethnic, cultural, or religious affiliation, would they?

'Tis the set of the sail, and not the gale, that determines the way we will go.

Believe me Jennie ..... they would.

There are two churches in this village, one Christian and one Roman Catholic (the Christian one does a pretty good BBQ when they have their annual fete.)

But thats it, two churchs and people either go to one or the other. The Vicars been trying to invite me for years! Or alternatively, you don't attend either.

The Parish Council has representatives from both Churches and if you weren't born in the village  you can't join the Committee anyway. So there's no way on this earth I can even instigate a tattoo studio by joining.

Anyway, I'm just glad to get a place to pierce.

Best wishes

Geez, maybe you should just open a chocolatiery?  It sounds just about like that kind of place. Wink
