rites for familiars

I have a rabbit who is my familiar. I was wondering if there was any rite that honored him as my familiar or made it official?

To be honest, you can use any ritual that you might google and tweak or write yourself. The important thing is that it is meaningful to you.

You might use a basic ritual structure like: ground and center or purify yourself (or both), create sacred space, call the elementals and gods to witness, declare your purpose (to honor and recognize the bond with your familiar), maybe do something that shows your bond (something simple) then thank the gods and guardians and dismiss your circle.
