Just wanted to note, Lark, I was browsing the Boneyard and read the piece about the fourth face of the Goddess.  I really enjoyed it, especially since this is the primary way I perceive divinity for the last several years of my personal practice.

I think forgetting this myself is what causes me, from time to time, to question whether I even believe in deities at all.  Because most of the time, my perception just does not match any of the happy, happy, joy, joy approximations one more frequently runs into in pagan literature and on message boards.  Your post was a much needed reminder that I am simply caught up on quite another "chapter" of that process.

Not only does ignoring this face, which does not really seem all that "hidden" to me, deny humanity the opportunity to acknowledge the full range of being, but it seems a sort of denial of the most unhealthy sort.

And yes, when I feel playful, this fourth face reminds me of the bumper sticker that says "Goddess is coming...and is she PISSED!"  And when I am feeling a bit spiteful and fluff-annoyed, it reminds me that the fourth face has NO fluff potential at all.
