I am probably going to be shot down in flames for what I am going to say next.

But I HATE CATS...

I mean if your neiboughs dog came onto you property and deficated all over the place you would be able to complain... but cats have no such defined ownership, they come and go as they please, dig up you plants and SH** all over the place with apparent impunity.
They are let out (or are able to let themselves out) at any time of the day or night to wreck all kinds of mischief, from hunting every small fured or feathered critter that crosses thier path to yelled screaming cat fights in your frount porch at 2 am in the morning - fit to make you think murder is occouring.

But the reason this rant has been set off today is that for the third morning running some *$%^*&" Moggie has broken into my milkman delivered milk - resulting in broken glass and spilt milk all over my driveway.

And yes I know it is a cat... I chased it away the other morning, milk dripping off it's so smug whiskers. And the bottle tops are maked with distinctive claw and teeth marks, not to mention the hairs caught in the condensation on the bottle sides - totally different sign than if it were birds or foxes or hedgehogs.
It's cost me nearly a tenners worth of food, not to mention the inconveniance of having to do extra shopping trips and the missed breakfasts...
AND I have ABSOLUTLY NO WAY of even making the 'OWNER' aware of what thier beloved PUSS-PUSS IS UP TO!

While I know it is in the nature of cats to be independant, to hunt to cattawall, to need less attention - and that that is what many like about thier cats.
It is apparent to me that it is not so pleasent for the comunity at large when they have to pay time and money to look after the consiquenses of someone else pet Esspecally if they are not fond of that kind of animal.

ok rant over...

Well, I do like cats very much (I have two black ones), but I can definitely see where you are coming from! I'd be mad at that cat too!

Sadly it's not the cats you should be angry with, it's the owners who let their pets run loose.  Irresponsible pet owners really make me angry.
