On Saturday, September 22, SPC Joshua H. Reeves lost his life to an IED in Baghdad, Iraq.  His wife gave birth to their first and only son the day before.

Josh was my boyfriend for three years, through most of high school.  He was my husband's best friend for many years, as well.  (That's a complicated story that I won't get into at present)  He had a lot of growing up to do when I left him, and it looks like he did it.  He became a husband, a soldier, and for a few precious hours, a father.

Please send your prayers and energy to his wife, Leslie, and his son, Joshua.  Below is the article about him from the local newspaper.

I am so sorry to hear that.  Each of them is so precious and each loss diminishes us all.  My heart goes out to his wife and family..and to you and your husband as well.

May we all raise a glass one day in Fiddler's Green.

(((Hugs)))
