I haven't been around for a while because my family has finally gotten their way with me.

You see, I've been writing down ideas for fiction stories for years. I often even get several pages going and then move on to something else. Well, they finally brow beat me to point that I'm actually spending a bit of time each day writing. I sit down to write and the next thing I know three hours have gone by and I'm six thousand words farther into the story. So far I've got fourteen chapters, about seventy pages, of a book written and it just seems to keep flowing. I figure I need to strike while the iron is hot so I'm putting my energy there instead of the internet.

I'll check in as often as I can.

Ah, the world of writing.  I often get stuck there when everything else seems to not be as fun.  I'm not sure if that made sense.

But congratulations of getting into it!  Smiley

Yay! I'm so glad that you're deep into something that you are enjoying! Suppose you'll ever try to publish?

My husband likes to write, and I found out I encourage him to do things he likes (write, draw, practice piano) to a fault. He said that the more I encourage him, the less he wants to do it (even though he likes the activities a lot)!

In that case spending time away is probably a good sign.

Good luck

I was told by university professors before graduating to keep writing... in the last 3 years I haven't managed to write more than 5 pages of fiction.  You are already beyond 70 pages.  Congratulations!  Keep doing it, do it forever if you can, being able to write pages and pages of creative fiction is one of the most exciting and fulfilling things I've ever felt.  I'm hoping to find the inspiration again.
