Crazy Lady With Cats

Of late I have been having a pleasant little experience that brings a smile to my face and a sense of peace to my heart.

This morning, as they have for a number of days now, I have six deer in my backyard.  Not just in the backyard, but lying there under my apple tree totally at ease even though quite close to the house.  I can walk out my back door, feed the dog, get things from my car and they don't move, they just watch me and continue chewing their cuds.

Having achieved this degree of oneness and peace with nature and her creatures is a truly wonderful blessing.  It gives me a terrific sense of inner peace and of connection to something rather special.

That's cool. The closest I can get to that is watching the birds that come to feed on the berries in my garden and wash themselves in the bird bath.

There's always been something majestic and peaceful about deer.
