Christmas and Presents .........

Last Christmas I bought a goat for a family in a village in Africa, sponsored it and gave the certificate to my sons father as his pressie. I don't like his Dad but I'm expected to buy him something.

This year I decided that I would pay for or sponsor an animal for everyone that I didn't like but was expected to buy a pressie for....

I only had to go shopping for a few gifts as there's loads of my cousins and family I don't like.

Its worked out great !  

There are loads of sites on the web where you can sponsor cats, dogs, chickens, goats, cows .... etc  and they have a happy life and help the family they go to have a happy life.

That's a wonderful idea, Kate!  

It would work as well for those relatives you like but just have a hard time shopping for.  A good thing for them, and a wonderful thing for the person receiving the animal.
