Writing Books

The 'Authors to Avoid' post prompted me to write this. For quite a while I've wanted to write a book on Paganism and/or magic. I put a lot of ground work into a book at one point, but lost it all due to a hard drive crash. That was a hard-hitting lesson about backing up data.

Anyway, I've recently started collecting a bit of information together, that could potenially turn into a book.

I hope that, if and when I finally produce a book, that it won't make the 'Authors to Avoid' list.

You can learn from their mistakes.

What is it about each of them that makes them an author to avoid?

I imagine that there is a list of preferred authors as well.  What is it about their writings that has earned them their honored place on the approved list?

I can tell you from personal experience that writing is easy. You simply sit and stare at the blank page until drops of blood form on your brow like sweat and then fall onto the page and form words.
