Why does it say LSD on the front of your top?

Well, hell, I need SOMETHING to get me through these things.........

You'd end up following the yellow brick road that way.

Actually, underneath the large letters are the words "Long Slow Distance", which is about the most accurate description of my running.  Sort of a shuffle and a trot with a bit of a waddle added.  Once you get past the 10% or so of runners that actually are competetive, the rest of us have some pretty "interesting" running styles.

I think that there should be freestyle races at these events. You could do a couple of yards of bunny hops, followed by a mile skipping, and top it all of with a backwards sprint to the finish line.

Hey Red, I ran the Marathon (or is it a half marathon?  10 kilometers), I actually finished before someone else, which is great.

The path went uphill for some time, which was pretty hard, but then most of the race was downhill and that was a bit better.  I think I handled the run pretty well, I had to walk some of it because of the heat (30+ celcius).

Since they had to close the streets for some hours, traffic was chaotic;  there were cars trying to cross the street we were running while the police were trying to organize the flow.  At one intesection a policeman actually asked me to wait for a bit so some cars could ge through.  I was like, er, it's a race, I can't stop!   Roll Eyes

Well anyways, it was the first time I ran a marathon and I think it was a great experience, I'll definitely do it again.

Congrats on finishing and having a good time while you were at it.

What you ran was what we call a 10K here.  Marathon distance would have been roughly 40K with a little extra tacked on for fun.

It can get into your system if you let it.  I've never cared about my times as long as I make the cutoff and finish before the guys that pick up the cones at the end.  So far, I've been able to do that.

Congrats again!!

Hey I got the 10K results last week.  I finished in 1 hour with 1:26 and in 577th place.  Not bad?  Very Happy
