Keep me in your thoughts please

I am heading out first thing in the morning with my daughter to say good bye to my grandmother. She asked me to come as soon as possible, and I don't think I can wait any longer given her rapid decline. Every time I realize this will the last time I see her I am that close to tears.

I do not want to cry. I need all my wits about me to deal with airport madness and trying to find my way out of the airport to the highway toward my grandmother's town. I always get lost! To top it all off I am already dog tired from a 6 hour drive back from a festival appearance this weekend.

I was not able to confirm a hotel reservation or get a hold of my daughter's school to inform them of her absence. I don't know how I will manage the credit card bill when it comes, but I will trust in the Lady to provide what I need.

Light candles for me. I will cry when I get home, but NOT NOW!!!  :x

I know its easier said than done but try not to worry about the general things like bills and getting hold of the school ..... just concentrate on the important part of being there.

I know how hard it is to say goodbye, but take comfort that you will get to say it.  It's so much harder when you don't have the chance.  As for everything else, those are things to be taken care of when you get back.  Put it out of your mind and try to just concentrate on this visit with your grandmother.

You've been in my thoughts since you posted the first thread about your grandmother, and you continue to be there.  I hope everything is alright, dear.  I know it's a hard time that you're going through, but I do know that you will come out of it alright.
