School Shooting in Colorado

There was a school shooting today at Platte Canyon high school in Bailey Colorado. Five hostages were taken by a man ages 35-40. I don't know much about the case, but I know that the man let three of his hostages go, and shot one of the remaining two. She was flown out on Flight for Life, but she is no longer with her. The police have not released a name yet, but because my best friend went to the school a few years ago and knows almost all of the seniors that go there, we were able to find out that a very good friend of my best friends, who is also an aquaintence of mine, was the victim of this crime...

The man who took the girls hostage today was killed on scene. There is at least a little justice in this world.

I wish that you would keep your prayers with the family of this girl. From what I new of her, she was free-spirited and a great girl. I loved the short time I spent with her and would go back and repeat it a thousand times if I could.

How horrible.  It really makes me angry when people are the victims of something they didn't even have anything to do with, and it makes me sad when people are so at the end of their rope that they feel all they have left is crime.  Does anyone know why the man decided to do this?

The students, staff, and families involved will definitely be in my prayers.

That's awful...truly sickening.  Sometimes I really struggle to maintain faith in my fellow 'man'.  We do such horrible things to each other.
