A blessed Mabon, or a blessed Ostara for those of you down under.

*hugs to everyone*

Thank you, we had a lovely Mabon.

Our plans for an outdoor ritual fell through as we were having heavy rains, but we just moved things indoors and had a great time.

Yes, Happy Autumn!  This is my favorite time of the year...the leaves changing, the air is crisper, and finally some relief from the heat of summer

It was rainy here, too, but I do love the rain, so it wasn't a total loss.  I spent all day fixing a huge dinner of steaks, corn muffins, sweet potatoes, butternut squash (which we all discovered we don't like), and fruit salad for dessert.  All through preparing the meal, I was continually thinking of how thankful I actually was to have that food, to live here in our home, with my partner whom I love.  Then later while I was in bed, I performed a totally mental meditation ritual.  A lovely night indeed.

Oh, and a tip.  If you ever think you might decide to try the recipe for "Irish oatcakes" in Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft, unless you're diabetic and used to eating cardboard, don't.  It looks and tastes like kitty litter.
