I had a call from the hubby this morning.  He is safely out of Iraq and into Kuwait and should be on a flight home in the next two days.  So he sould be home in time to celebrate Mabon with all of us this weekend.

He said that the pilot flew an evasive pattern on departure from Iraq that Disney would charge a fortune for if they could make it into an amusement ride, but other than that there were no adventures on the trip, something for which I am profoundly grateful.

Glad to hear Brock's returning home safely.

This is like his third trip over there, isn't it?

Does he get to be done now?

Yep, it was his third trip to the sandbox.  And no..he probably isn't done yet.  The 101st is scheduled to go back again in 18 months, and if it does he gets to go too.

Yay!  That's great that you guys will be together for Mabon.  Now if only we could bring all our guys home and keep them here.  My cousin is somewhere over there right now, although I don't remember which unit he's with, and my Dad has made many a trip to that region since Desert Shield/Storm.

Glad to hear it Lark - I remember Brock from when I used to visit here a few years back (posting as Jyotsna) and wondered what had happened to him - he gave me some very wise advice.

Tis good to be back although the first thing I saw was some sad news.  Glad though that the forum continues in Branwens memory, as I am sure she would have wanted it to.

Blessings

Welcome back.  It's good to see old faces again.  I remember you well.  Hope you'll be able to stay around and keep us company for awhile.
