A GIRL  !!!!!    

So everyones over the moon.  Jons especially pleased, as he has 3 children from a previous relationship, one is a girl, but he's since found out she isn't his child.   So this is his first daughter and he has always wanted a little girl.  

The scan shows baby is fine.   But my placenta is low so the Docs may decide to do a C-section, I've got to have another scan in September and they'll let me know then.  

Its a bit danerous so I'm now not allowed to lift a damn thing, not even a shopping bag, and I've got to rest as much as possible - I'll have to buy a few more books, choose baby clothes and drive everyone madder on this site.

Congrats on the little girl.  

I wouldn't worry too much about your placenta.  As long as you follow the doctors' orders, rest when you need to, all that stuff, you should be fine.  And even if you do have to have a c-section, they've come a long way with those and they're extremely safe these days.  My mother had me naturally and my brother and sister both by cesarian and we all came out fine.

I am now 6 weeks into the rest of my life with my baby daughter, so i am close enough to it all to remember the rollercoster of 'fun' pregnancy...
