Well, the first question has certainly been answered... and thoroughly, too!  I guess the boys are just out of luck unless they plan on moving to Mass. or just out of the country altogether.

Now the second question, rephrased and a little clearer (I was more focused on the first part before):

Has anyone attended/been a part of/coordinated some sort of commitment ceremony or celebration, legal or otherwise, to join two people in love?  This would be more for the benefit of the couple and their family and friends.  They really want to do something to make their relationship "official", whether our dear ol' Uncle Sam recognizes it or not.

I'm just trying to pass on ideas to them, since all my friends are around my age (18-26), and this is the first of my gay friends to find a solid, committed relationship, so I'm at a total loss!
