Actually two. One on Friday and one on Saturday.

One of my co-workers lost her baby brother on Friday. Early in July he suffered a brain aneurism, and while recovering he had a massive stroke. They didn't think he would make it but tried to induce a healing comma on Wednesday to assist in the repairs needed to his brain. He went downhill very rapidly. He was only 35 years old.

My Aunt Allegra passed over Saturday morning. She was nearly 90 and died peacefully in the hospital. She was a warm hearted woman who loved to cook and would feed all the children in the neighborhood as many meals as they showed up for. I played my first game of chess in her house as a child. My brother and I often spent time with her during the summers being "fattened-up" on any number of home made sweets and treats.

I lift my glass to their passing...Huzzah!

I'll join you in that toast and raise a glass to two people who will be sorely missed by those who loved them.

I'm sure they'll go on to bigger and better things.  Mazeltov.
