just a quick question

This might sound of a little bit random, but bear with me here, heh.

A few days ago I sent a card to someone who I feel a spiritual connection with that is probably stronger than anyone else I've ever felt one with before. The situation would take ages to sum up and really doesn't matter, but whenever I sent the card I put my little silver pentacle necklace that I haven't taken off for nearly a year and a half inside of it. It just seemed like it was what I was supposed to be doing.

Yesterday I was talking to him for a few minutes, and he asked me why I sent him my necklace...and I realized that I wasn't really sure.

Is there any symbolism behind giving a necklace? Or could it just be that it's something that I always kept on my person, so it was full of my energy, and I wanted him to have that?

I'm just not sure, and I'm curious as to why I felt the desire to do that...and if there could be any reason behind it that I'm not getting.

I did something similar the other day and if you were to ask me why I wouldn't be able to say either. I don't think you have to know to be honest.

For me, my pendant I gave away had just reached a point where I didn't feel it mine to keep any more - that, despite having loved it, it would mean more to give it away.

Sometimes I just get the feeling that someone I know needs something.  It could be that the color is important, or the symbolism, or the particular type of stone or whatever.  That's why my friends have everything from nice pieces of hand made jewelry to a walrus etched on glass that I have sent them.  Part of walking a shamanic path is learning to trust your gut and just do what you know is right.
