Sometimes in life, something really lucky happens that you know can't just be a coincidence.  I thought we might share some experiences of that sort we've had.

Just yesterday, I received a check in the mail from my job at Wendy's, which I quit in February, for over $100.  The check is dated 02/10/06, which is right around the time I quit.  Now, I'm not sure what this check is for.  I had already received my last check, and I had never earned this large of a sum from them, since they decided that I was their worst employee and gave me only nine hours a week, which was why I quit.  So, perhaps this is some sort of severance pay, but the stub does not indicate what this is payment for.  I feel that this is a blessing because I have been doing small rituals for prosperity on and off for months now, as it is very tough to find work around here, and this couldn't have come at a better time.  It's good to find something to be thankful for.

Far be it from you to question the methods of a multi-national fast food giant.

Cash it and enjoy!

In times of difficulty, look in the mirror.

It is likely you will see the cause as well as the solution.

I think the greatest blessings I have are the people I know. I've crossed paths with, laughed with, cryed with, gazed at the stars with, cuddled with, learned from, taught, moved, been moved by, argued with, fought with, shared drinks, mattresses, music, and joy with some of the most incredible people on this planet.

There is not one of them who I wouldn't be able to point out countless flaws in of course and the same applies vice versa but at the end of the day, that doesn't matter. I don't remember this often but when I do I can only feel immensely grateful for it.

Much Love

I agree, Sebbi! My first answer is the people in my life and the ones yet to come!

Second answer would be my meditation during this week's full moon. Hours spent alone in the dark in my backyard and the first time I ever achieved rising above my pain. For the first time in over six years, I was light and free of my body and my pain. I saw myself as part of the 'Tree of Life', an image I am now transcribing to paper, and there was absolutely no pain. A blessing to know there is a place like that and that I can find it... Smiley

My children.

They are, without a doubt the most fascinating and truly special people I know, especially my oldest.  Writing it down makes it seem so trite, but the gifts I receive from association with them are profound.

Those are beautiful answers that you all gave.  At the risk of sounding like a whiny teenager making an excuse, I just want to point out that the reason I cited my "getting a check in the mail windfall" example was because it had just happened and immediately came to mind.

No apology or explaination needed.  There have been many times an unexpected check has shown up in my life that has been the difference between eating...or not.  Happened lots between 18-28.
Mmmmm.  Mayonaisse sandwiches anyone?  Or the boon to young people...the $1 soda at happy hour.  All that food, and they give it away for free!
