Could a dream tell me about my spirit guide?

ok what do u think...

I have had similar dreams for a couple of nites in a row now about my dead dog. However, when i dream about her she looks different then how she used to look and in all of the dreams i know she is dead but she acts pretty much alive in flesh and bone!. The dog is always very helpful and kind in the dreams, she even makes me feel protected and loved.

Could this be a message from my spirit guide?
