I think the answer to that question would depend a great deal on which things about Wicca you're unsure of.

There are some things in Wicca..such as belief in both male and female Deities...that are considered core beliefs and which are required for one to call one's practice Wicca.  And there are also some practices which are also essential if you are to be Wiccan...such as celebrating the Sabbats, the Great Rite in actuality or in token, casting a circle to create sacred space, etc.

I think we could give you a better answer to your question if you would expand a bit on your question and tell us which parts of Wiccan belief you are having trouble accepting.

There's only two things you need to believe:
1) The existence of the divine in all things, and that the divine is both masculine and feminine.

2) That magick is natural, it exists and it can be learned.

All that follows in Wicca is practice.  You don't need to believe what you practice in the first place, but rather experience it.  You will discover meaning in things as you study them.

Remember that there's nothing forcing you to neccesarily brand yourself Wiccan. If I was you I'd say you were exploring Wicca. At the end of the day it's a very personal descision to know whether to include "Wiccan" as part of your identity or not.

There are also some things you can learn through reflection and practice.

It means you need to study more and become unsure.  Then you have your own answers.

Do you mean "and become sure"? In a wierd, paradoxical slightly Taoist way, either could make sense for me and knowing you neither would surprise me.

What is it that you're unsure about?

If it turns out to be a vital part of Wicca, you could just call yourself a Wiccan influenced Witch for the time being.  A witch can follow her own path; it's 100% individualistic, while Wicca is a religion with a set of beliefs that should be accepted if you want to claim the title.

I, myself, am just a Witch.  I don't feel the need to try to fit into the Wiccan mold.  I wouldn't have it any other way.   Smiley

Until you expand on what you're unsure of, the only thing I can say is to remember that no one knows everything and that Wicca, like most if not all religions, is a lifelong journey of knowledge.  You sort of pick up some of the pieces as you go along.

Actually, I was just typing too fast, though your Zen reference definately applies.

Conversely, my attitudes toward these things are such that anyone that tells me they have all the answers are just begging for a session of pounding the nail.

Been a while for me, so I've been bouncing around a bit to get my brain working.
Does one need to view their God and Goddess in the mannewr of the Christian?
Gryphon answered simply no and no. And she is absolutely correct.
Wicca and Witchcraft are not nearly as dogmatic in belief and practice as almost any Christian sect, or any other monotheistic religion for that matter. The practice more to do with intention, desire and purpose that almost anything else.
I myself call myself a Witch for the most part because of my wishes not to limited to what I consider one view or practice of discovery.
Much of Wiccan and Witchcraft is targetted toward self-discovery.
What talent do I have and how can I expand and improve them?
What can I do or try, short of something false or illegal (most drugs without the supervision and guidance of a shaman for instance) to improve myself personally. What can I do or practice to make my life, and thus those of others around me, better?
I practice the martial arts, including Zen meditation as well, to help me get a better intuitive grasp of the natural world around me.
I can help with people as well-most of the time, but the trick is to find a way to share that intuition with people in a quiet and calm way.
The practice of Wiccan and Witchcraft rituals, such as casting the sacred circle, and celebrating the Sabbats (with friends-always) helps with the focus in that.
I don't really know if this can help, but it is something to consider.

There are a number of differences between our Goddess and God and the Christian God:  Christians see their God as residing in Heaven; we believe that the Goddess and God are within everything, including ourselves.  Christians say that their God is a jealous and wrathful one; the Goddess and God are not necessarily so.  Jealousy and wrath are human short comings, things that just happen and things that we must work through.  Christians believe in absoute good (God) and absolute evil (Satan); we believe that everything is grey.  There is no good and evil, everything just is.  There are good things and bad things, but they must be held in balance.  There can be no summer without winter, no joy without pain, no life without death.  The Goddess and God are both the gentle rain and the devastating flood, the warm spring and the burning sun, a cooling breeze and a deadly tornado.  Nature keeps its balance.
