who can help me track down a particular instrument. Was watching a movie a while back, and in this movie there was a wedding and a man played this instrument, but can't seem to know what it's called. It was a reed type instrument, very small, had about 4 or 5 longish type reeds that you blew into, they looked to be maybe 5 or 6 inches long, jeesh I wish I could remember the name of the movie, but the sound that came from those reeds had me spellbound. I tried google, but without a name the search was impossible. Anyone, any idea's ? BB

Sounds like the panpipes, also called pan flutes. Very haunting sound. See if this looks like what you're remembering:

That confused me because I was imagining an instrument that was a load of pipes each with a reed at the end, and I've never seen anything like that.
Panpipes, I believe, aren't technically reeded but fluted. In music, a reed is like what you get on the top of a clarinet and you, like a normal person, were thinking of an actual planty type reed.
So yeah - I was a bit confused and probably wouldn't have been able to help you, it's a good thing that Sewa Yoleme is here.
