So I was induced today!

For the yanks I'll just clear something up about the british school system:

If you're British - skip from here...

What you call college, we call university. College in Britain is post 16 education. During post 16 education you do A-levels or an equivilant (I tryed IB but dropped it), and that'll lead onto university. For post-16 most people either stay at school for what's called 6th form, or go to college, which is more akin to University in that it's a lot of people who have never met eachother from different backgrounds. A college exists for no other reason than post-16, sixth form is part of a larger school.

Anyway - in apparently you don't have induction days over there - an induction day is basically where you go in and have tasters of all your courses and things so then you have something to go on in deciding whether you want to go there or not or choose a different set of courses.

...to here

Anyways - it was a really really good day.
I've been confusing people with "How was the induction day?"
"It was good. I was a TREE!"
"Yes Sebbi... have a cookie"

I'm taking drama, we did some physical theatre. I really see how that place has the performing arts reputation - we devised a short piece in 30 minutes without it being close to shoddy.

There wasn't a single lesson I didn't really actively enjoy. It dawned on me half way through the day "hang on! I would be getting up and coming to college every day because I enjoy it!"

Yesterday I was nervous about what it would be like socially but it was just really cool, it was very chilled and I came back with my phonebook 5 numbers fuller, including someone from my Religious Studies class I've teamed up with on the basis of a plan to build a tabernacle over the summer.

I'm now really excited about college starting in September. I mean, actively wanting to go. It's going to be a good 2 years there.

Much Love

Wow! Sounds wonderful! Much better than being induced while in labor (had that twice, nice result though long, painful experience).

I was just telling my beloved husband I want to try and take some courses here. No degree, just stuff that interests me to keep my brain working. You've given me the inspiration I need to try, I think...
