Merry meet,

I wondered how you think about the hereafter, do you believe, for example in heaven and hell, or in reïncarnation, and will evil-minded people be punished for their evil thoughts and evil deeds?

I believe in reïncarnation. I see the soul like a sort of energy. I think that there are determined phases in wich souls dwell. So there would be a physical phase for example where we ourselfs would be at this moment and a psychological phase in wich we are when we are asleep, for example, dreaming do I mean, this is also the phase of the unconsiousnes. Furthermore there is a phase in wich the soul dwells after she has left the human body. However the soul doesn't stay in this phase for ever. After a determined time she incarnates. I believe also that people could have dreams about their former lifes.
I think that evil-minded people, who have done evil deeds, will be punished. I namely believe in 'The rule of three'. They will be punished by themselfs because the negative energy they have used in one way or another anyhow will be sent back worser to this person. This could be in the same life as he used the evil energy or it could be sent back in a next life.
This is my vision.

Blessed be,

Selena Lune

hello dearie!

personally, i believe in the summerlands, that we go to a place of rest and happiness to digest the lessons we've learned.then we reincarnate.reincarnation just makes so much more sense than a once off life and eternal bliss/damnation.just my feelings.

if you're worried that you're going to hell, read this:

i thought it was comforting, even though i dont believe in hell.

I find it hard to have a real opinion on this, seeing as I'm not likely to find out for sure until I'm dead.  But I find it extremely hard to believe that the soul just stops upon death - it must go somewhere!  At least, I sincerely hope so.

Regarding "evil", and punishment, I think we do punish ourselves, but that has nothing to do with the afterlife.  It's just our conscience.  That, and the criminal justice system.  Though I know a lot of people who find it easier to believe in Hell than in the criminal justice system!

Similar to Rani...I figure I will find out when I'm dead.

I at times am sure there is more beyond this life, and yes, I am very familiar with past-life 'rememberings', especially from my children...however...I am open to this being all there is...or not.

Hmmm.  rambling, aren't I.  Let me try to be more concise...I am at a point in my life that the here and now is more important than the where and then.  If there is a past, then I will know what is important, and I don't need to worry about exploring those lessons...if there is a future, it will take care of itself.

As far as punishment...well, if this isn't purgatory, I don't know what is  Shocked  Smiley !  Seriously...this life can be both heaven and hell.  I don't think there is a  big bad god that is going to throw us into eternal misery.   I think evil takes care of itself...or I hope it does...with that person having to live with him/herself.  It would be comforting to think that evil people "won't get away with it", and I think it does take a toll on them, but not because of any kind of outside agent.

I think human beings are like plasmorphic eggs. When you die you either emerge as a different creature or you're cast into a frying pan of luminous energy and your soul becomes fuel for the universe/god/goddess or what have you. Either way you will be enlightened. Its pointless to debate over what you might have been in a past life unless you are willing to admit your mistakes because thats the only thing that holds weight in a mystery of wisdom. The egyptians said if your heart weighed more than a feather you'd be devoured by the gods. Take that for what its worth. Your body is the temple. SOLOMON.

Everything in this world is recycled. The atoms of my body are not the same atoms they were seven years ago... the stuff of stars is the same stuff of planets is the same stuff of the life on those worlds... Energy changes form, but is never lost... these seem to be both rules of science as much as logical extentions of belief.

So why not extend that logic to a recycling of our soul?

This seems to be the logic of reincarnation. So this is where my beliefs lead.
We learn, we change, we are recycled, maybe recombined in new forms, maybe becoming part of worlds or stardust for the next whirl of the wheel... there are times of active participation (human life?) and times of rest... Prehaps eventually the soul becomes part of the energy / Divinity that drives the change itself. Enlightenment, peace, compleation.

But at the end I think I have more than enough to think about and deal with in the here and now... I do not fear death, the change from this form to the next, but that does not mean I want to seek out that last great adventure before my time.

As for the whole punishment thing... Well I have to go with some of the other comments here. Rani and Kim both express my feelings on this matter very well. We make our own evil and our own punishments... this life or the next.

Be bright, be bold

My six year old son went with my mother to the cemetary, my grandmother crossed over in August. When he came home he told me that "Mom mom would be back in the spring." I asked him why he thought that and he told me"Mom, whenever you plant things they come up in the spring."  For me it really gave me something to think about, and I thought it was fitting for this question.

I've been there, a couple of times.

I also travel enough in my shamanic journeying to have seen it when it wasn't me lying dead on the floor.  There is much there but little reason to fear it.  That being said I don't particularly want to shuffle off this mortal coil any time soon, either.

I'm sure that one day I will know exactly what awaits me when this life ends.  For the time being I have been sent back twice because I still had work to do.  Didn't matter how tired I was, or whether or not i was willing to stay.
