Crone

MM,
 Lately I'm being drawn to dig deeper into the Crone & I was wondering if anyone could help me? I know very little on the triple Goddess, just the very basic of what people use to explain & I'm looking for books & internet sites, etc. that will open me up to a deeper understanding & connection. Things like what each fully represent or mean & applying it to a person's life as they go thur life. I hope I explained what I'm looking for fully. Thank you for your replys.

Hi Falconess,

The Crone Goddess was the first one that I worked with, partly because I was reaching menopause at that time and coming to terms with the major life changes that brings.  She is the wise one who looks to the good of the tribe.  She is a law giver.  She is the one who presides over our deaths so that we may find rebirth.  She is the Goddess that oversees transformation and initiation.

And a book that I highly recommend is "Goddesses in Older Women: Archetypes in Women Over Fifty " by Jean Shinoda Bolen.  Her other book, "Goddesses in Everywoman : Powerful Archetypes in Women's Lives " is also an excellent read.

 Thanks Gryphon & Lark you have helped me alot. I checked the sites out & they made sense to me with what I've been going thru lately. I'm going to check out the books to. Thank you so much for your help. Now I can work thru & understand things better.

Thank you Lark.  I was waiting for you to make a couple of book recommendations...  I am staring at 50, and considering the several changes in my head in the past several years, a little guidance would not be amiss.

Red, if it had been me, not even a dozen would have made it home.  I would have made myself ill on them.
