When recently working with chakras, I found I was having a hard time with the 6th (third eye).  I'm not really surprised, considering that I've been feeling kind of odd in the sinuses.  Not really stuffed, and certainly not like a sinus infection or head cold...  At any rate, sinus medicine hasn't been helping.

So far as I can figure, that sucker's blocked.  I've Googled around on it and found more unblocking methods than you can shake a stick at.  Frankly, I'm not patient enough to try everything, as I'd like this to go away rather soon.

What tends to work best for you?

There are some great accupressure techniques that might be helpful.  It is a melt of massage and acupuncture (actually, it is self discribing)
There is a good spot on the top of your head, near where your soft spot was as a baby that applied light pressure to can relax all the muscles in your face.  It can be a good one for de stressing

One technique I’ve used for balancing my charkas is to use colored slips of paper to represent the charkas and a dousing chain.  You concentrate on the colored piece of paper and the corresponding charka on your body and hold the dowsing chain over the paper.  When the dowsing chain stops moving, you’ve brought that charka back into alignment.  Move to the next charka.  It is important to do all charkas.

The way I unblock energy generally, I relax the area that's blocked.

I just let the energy go (or not go) where it likes. It normally spreads after that.

If the problem persists that normally means there's an knot. I got this technique from here, years ago. If you remember Richard Dragon/Giameden, that's who I got it from.

Visualise the knot, then visualise lots of water-like energy going through it making the gaps in between them bigger. Then image "unplugging" one of the ends of the energy line, then unknot it, when your done just "replug" it.

Stop the water-energy flow, and then you're done.

Blessings

I found something that actually fixes it long-term, though it was a pretty odd experience.

Basically, I meditated until I got in pretty deep, then focused as much as I could on my third eye.  It was sort of like squeezing a pimple, and just like with the blemish, it kind of burst.  It felt more like a popping popcorn kernel, but still rather explosive - and painful right up until it happened!

However, it feels a thousand times better now.  Thanks for all the help!

Ok I read this in a book I long time ago and it has stayed with me although I don't remember which book it was in. I meditate and visualize the chakra and see the blocked chakra with like smudges or dark spots, thenI visualize a vacuum and "clean" the chakra. Use the vacuum to suck up the nasty stuff in or the what ever is blocking the chakra and then visualize the vacuum emptying into the Earth when the blockage is grounded and transformed. Hope this helps.
